Dry
All glazes are nontoxic, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe if fired properly. The glazes are also lead-free and barium-free. These glazes are typically sold dry by the pound - we suggest buying in 5# amounts, which makes a little less than 1 gallon of glaze (1# dry = approximately 1½ to 2 pints).
Mix with water, starting with just less than 9 parts water to 10 parts dry glaze by weight. Let glazes sit for 24 hours after mixing, then adjust consistency for application. Screen with a 60 to 100 mesh sieve. It is no longer necessary to add glycerine for brushability. The formulas have been slightly modified to allow for dipping, pouring, or brushing.
