Tech Talk Tuesday: Clay body absorption

If you are reading this, you probably either asked us a question about (or googled) absorption. While not a new or uncommon concern among potters, this subject has been increasingly trending over the last few years. We are also asked questions about porosity or shrinkage or other various technical data on various clay bodies. Accurate information has always been highly important, going back to when my parents started this business. So, with more of these questions coming at myself and my staff, I started to do a lot of research. This includes lots of books and then, the all important phone call to Pete Pinnell. He was generous enough to share a good 30 minutes of his time with me.
